ENCHANTED KINGDOM'S ENCHANTING CYNTHIA MAMON WINS NATIONAL BUSINESS COMMUNICATION AWARD
Popular Vice President Is Honored By Distinguished International Association of Business Communicators

Cynthia Mamon accepts her award in Pasig City.
CYNTHIA R. MAMON, Ph.D., Enchanted Kingdom’s Vice President for Sales, Marketing, Imagineering and Entertainment (SMILE) was honored in Pasig City with the prestigious CEO (Communications Excellence in Organizations) Excel 2010 Award by the IABC (International Association of Business Communicators).
Only thirteen distinguished business communicators in our entire nation were cited for their effective use of communications to drive business success. The awards night was held at the Bayanihan Hall, UNILAB compound, and in her acceptance speech Ms. Mamon poignantly declared: "Providing fun is a serious business as we position Enchanted Kingdom as the happiest place in the country!"

Cynthia Mamon receives her IABC Trophy at the Bayanihan Hall, UNILAB compound.
She first became active in Enchanted Kingdom business operations in 2008 and immediately made impact by rebranding her assigned division from SMED ("frown" in the vernacular) to SMILE to remind EK’s stakeholders and cast members (a.k.a. employees) that the company’s mission is to provide magical experiences. Other accomplishments in just two years with outstanding success include changing the theme park’s business model from relying much on walk-ins to focusing more on pre-booked corporate bookings and school tour groups. This new strategy was supported by recruiting new business partners from the travel & tourism sectors and reaching out to new focused markets such as OFWs and BPOs.
Ms. Mamon’s strategic and integrated marketing communications program put emphasis on brand management, effective use of advertising & promotions and tapping of new media channels. As a direct result of her energized mission Enchanted Kingdom regained top of mind awareness to the public and is again a byword synonymous to fun and magical experiences. The new business model in tandem with integrated promotions and publicity made 2009 a banner year for the country’s best and only world-class theme park. Attendance increased by 20% and sales revenue was 33% higher than 2008.

"Congratulations!" from delighted and proud husband Mario Mamon.
"Enchanted Kingdom’s vision is to be the leader in wholesome family leisure and entertainment and be a tourist destination in the region. Paramount to making this vision a reality is leadership and the ability to communicate strategies effectively to all concerned," she said to the IABC audience. Then she confessed that the ultimate CEO of both herself and her husband, Mario Mamon - the President and Chairman of Enchanted Kingdom Inc., is Jesus. They both believe that EK business is their ministry, and EK aspires to be God's eternal kingdom on earth.
"As we share our faith to others, we do not have to do anything anymore. Our life is our message," she shares. She reiterated this during her acceptance speech, ending with two verses: "Those who believe in the Son of God have the testimony of God in them." (1 John 5:10), and "Our lives are echoing the Master’s Word. The news of our faith in God is out. We don’t even have to say anything anymore, our life is our message." (1 Thessalonians 1:8).

This is what it's all about. Cynthia in the workplace.
In the workplace Ms. Mamon is a constant source of supportive inspiration, with a natural sincerity and integrity that generate admiration and loyalty everywhere she goes. She radiates servant leadership, stewardship and spirituality which are positively contagious. Did you ever see an unhappy EK employee? Me neither!
Back to her award acceptance speech, she beamed: "I am honored to be one of the recipients of the CEO Excel Award 2010, the recognition is not attributed to me alone, but to all our cast members who have helped us in providing magical experiences to all our guests." Doesn't this say it all? With a boss who publicly to such a distinguished audience and covered by all the major national media gives credit for her own personal achievements to the staff that she leads, our family spirit and feeling of worth go through the roof. Small wonder that EK is so supremely successful!
